Blueberry Picking

Also in June, we had the chance to go blueberry picking with Auntie, Atticus, and Courtney.  We tried to go early, but it was still hot.  Even so, the boys were awesome workers.  It seems that blueberries are worth the effort to these little boys, and I have to say that I agree!

Ethan slept through most of the picking, which worked out beautifully

After we'd done our picking, we spent a few minutes checking out the chickens and then headed to our favorite picnic spot, which just happens to be shaded and had a wonderful breeze.  It felt amazing.

Picnic snack by the pond

After snack, the boys just played and played.  It was fun (and a good reminder) to see how much they could enjoy simply playing together in the absence of toys and formally organized activities.

They played tag in the field...

It's clear who's calling the shots in this group
Atticus, looking up to his big cousin :)
... played hide & seek (even though there weren't really any places to hide!)
counting with his eyes closed. so cute.

...and chased a turtle around the edge of the pond for a while

I love these boys, I love beautiful mornings surrounded by God's beautiful creation, and I love blueberries :)
